Release of What’s Left of Me & Interview with Elvis Duran
On the day of the release of What’s Left of Me, an interview (taped previously) with Elvis Durant on his morning show was published online.
The interviewers were Elvis Duran, Danielle Monaro, and “Ghandi.”
Grace freaked out when they played a clip from AGT where she sang “I Don’t Know My Name” – “Stop, please. It’s like putting water on a witch; it’s torture. … No, sorry guys, there is nothing wrong with it.” Q: Did you cringe because you don’t identify with that person anymore, or do you just hate the song? No, I don’t hate the song. It’s just my talent show. I think if we pulled up most people's sixth-grade talent show, they would be like – oh no!!
About her childhood: “It would have been very abnormal even despite the work. Honestly, I feel the work just added normalcy to my life.
When I was on tour, Engineers and crew were like my cool (high school) seniors that I looked up to. I was not really looking up to big stars but producers, engineers, and others in the background. This has led me to value the things that I like to value. This has really annoyed some people in the past because they had this really set path for me. There is this “gifted child” syndrome, where you excel as a child, and that is what you are always commended by and base your worth on. But then you end up plateauing, and everyone surpases you in adulthood. So then you don’t have that thing that you based your whole identity on, you are just a normal adult.
She also talked about how she got the part in Megalopolis and how she approached her character “Vest Sweetwater” (Read more about this on the upcoming “performance” page for Megalopolis).
Elvis Duran asked if there was an album coming soon and if she was already working on the music for that: ” It’s done, honey. Its raped up with a bow. And there is a date, but its not announced yet. There is like a whole strategic plan. You are just setting up as much anticipation as possible. “
The show ended with the first public playing for the song. Grace introduced the song saying: ” Are you in your car? If you are, here is a song you might like to drive to. Going through a tough time? Hate men? Here you go!”
This was Grace's third time on the Elvis Duran Show. The two previous ones were on Jan 24, 2017, and on May 25, 2018

The music video was produced by Luke Gilbert for The Genius Club production company. It was directed by Franceska Maldona and photographed by Nicky Rudolp. Production design was by Elise Jonke who also did the production design for Call It What You Want. Grace was styled by Hayley Francise (who also did the styling for her NY Megalopolis Premiere). Makeup by Blake Armstrong (who also did Graces makeup for The Grammy performance, the WhoWhatWear photoshoot, Call It What You Want and more). Hair by Lisa-Marie Powell, who also did the hair for Call It What You Want.
The video was shot on an Ari Aleax 35, using Kodak 5119 film - so completely analogue.
Behind the scenes at the Video shoot
Grace and others from the production posted video clips and photos from behind the scenes in the days following the release of the video. After a week, Grace posted a full "Behind the scenes" video on her YouTube Channel.
Grace anounced the video on Instagram, writing: "1 week of What’s Left Of Me 🖤 im not gonna lie this one was challenging but very cathartic nonetheless. Behind The Scenes video is out on my YouTube now for a lil glimpse 🥲 Thank you so much to the beautiful production and crew who helped bring this to life 🗡️"
